CLAPBATS are custom crafted precision bamboo bats which utilize a revolutionary technology referred to as S.W.A.T. during the assembly process. S.W.A.T. stands for “Synergistic Wood Alignment Technologyâ€. It is the secret to CLAPBATS remarkable performance. Attached are photographs of a cross section of a CLAPBAT. You’ll recognize a merger of bamboo sleeves creating a distinctive pattern in the wood. It is this pattern that accounts for CLAPBATS incredible strength and durability. The absence of a dominate grain direction results in a tensile strength over 28,000 psi, unbelievably exceeding steel by more than 5000 psi. Even more absurd is the fact that the S.W.A.T. technology flex and feel is comparable to a composite/ aluminum bat. Additionally, CLAPBATS are designed to imitate an aluminum/ composite bats weight and balance. Light hollowed barrels, thin handles and a variety of tapered knobs subject this bat to tremendous bat head speed. Adult baseball bats are available in the CB1 and CB73 models. Both are -3oz drops with the CB73 offering a larger barrel and wider knob (see attached photos). CLAPBATS are also available in a CB2 youth model. The CB2 has all the great features plus an incredible -6oz drop. Furthermore CLAPBATS offer an ASA approved softball bat with a -5oz drop. All bats are available in most common sizes.
