This auction is for Buffalo Leather Sporting Goods Ed Matthews F15 Baseball Glove that is in immaculate, unused condition. This glove dates back to the late 50's or early 60's. This could be the nicest one of it's kind in existance... This glove has been stored upright in the cardboard box for about 50 years now. Oh, it gets better. Not only was it stored in the box, it was inside the original Buffalo Leather Sporting Goods protective plastic bag (shown in the last picture). This glove is as soft as the day it was made and it still has the scent of a brand new leather baseball glove. The glove sits upright like a porcelain figurine! This is actually because it has been stored upright for so many years that the bottom is a little flat. It is so incredibly soft and pliable that it does not present a problem of the least. The cardboard box is in nice condition for it's age. The box top has one split corner that I will not attempt to repair. The front litho is nice for it's age. There is a pen mark on the front of the box. It looks like an underlined "3". The original receipt from Towne Distributors in Binghamton NY is for 10 dollars... The phone number on the receipt is 5 digits rather than 7 digits if that helps to date this glove. The glove has a few scratches on it that have darkened over the ages. I don't know if they are scratches from handling or if it is simply part of the manufacturing process. There is no damage to the glove and it shows no signs of use. I am not saying this glove is mint (although I want to and I probably should). What I am saying is that it appears to be unused and it is in fabulous condition. It is super soft and it smells like it was made yesterday. Both are a result of being stored in a "time capsule" for the last 50 years. I honestly don't think there is a nicer Buffalo Leather Sporting Goods Ed Mathews baseball glove out there. Take a look at the pictures and see what you think.
